Do you sometimes lie awake at night because you are worrying about things. The Bible tells us, “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:31-34) Not worrying about things is easier said than done. Share with your spouse the concerns that keep you awake at night. Ask your spouse to pray that you will be able to release your fears, worries and concerns and trust God for your future. Sharing this way with your spouse without burdening them with your concerns, but asking them to pray with and for you, will help build intimacy in your relationship.
